Rosmini’s arts & cultural leader Patrick Lemeki has delivered an extraordinary showing at Wellington’s annual Ringa Toi Student Exhibition, taking out first place in the Temoana Nui a Kiwa Measina category. With 159 artworks accepted from 53 schools. Patrick captured the top spot for both of his submitted entries: 'The hands of many' and 'Tā tatau'.
Guest judge Jack Kirifi confessed he was moved to tears by the young artist’s submissions, praising Patrick’s rare ability to capture the heart of Pasifika identity, faith, family, and community. Unable to separate the brilliant entries, Kirifi awarded both pieces the top honour.
This marks the third consecutive year Patrick’s talent has been recognised at the national exhibition – a remarkable milestone for an exceptional young creative.
Students serve up dignity and care in community partnership
On Friday 4 September, Rosmini College students put their school motto, "Charity fulfils the Law," into action by handing over 35 'Hearty Family Meal' food bags to De Paul House. With each meal designed to feed a family of four, this delivery provided a nutritious, cooked dinner to 140 local residents in need.
The project is a true team effort: Rosmini families generously donated cans of tuna for protein and assembled the packs, while student designers created custom recipe cards and logos. The remaining fresh ingredients were provided by Gilmours North Shore. Building on this success, the ongoing initiative has set its sights on packing 50 food bags for the next drive, providing wholesome dinners to 200 people.

The momentum continued on the rugby field as the U15 7s team claimed the North Harbour Rugby Tournament title at North Harbour Stadium for the second consecutive year. Dominating the field, the squad went undefeated in pool play before fighting through a tough final to defeat Westlake 20–12.
